When Will My Order be Shipped?

We ship every weekday, excluding federal holidays.

Orders for Banded Crickets and Superworms received before 2PM ET will ship that day - those received after 2PM ET will ship the next business day. Our Banded Crickets and our Superworms are both available to ship from our farms in Florida and Mississippi. 

What Are the Conditions for your Live Arrival Guarantee?

We guarantee live delivery of your order under normal, non-extreme weather conditions when USPS Priority Mail Express service is selected at checkout.

Overcounts

We include an additional 10% overcount on all live insect orders to make sure you're getting the right amount of feeder insects for every order.

Shipping Service Covered

The Live Arrival Guarantee is valid for USPS Priority Mail Express ONLY. 

Choosing standard USPS Priority Mail Shipping is at your own risk and we do NOT guarantee live arrival when this delivery option is selected at checkout.

Temperatures

Our Live Arrival Guarantee only applies when temperatures are between 20 - 95°F.

Any order placed and shipped when temperatures are above or below our accepted range is NOT guaranteed a live delivery and no refund or replacement will be offered. Our custom software system will alert you via email to extreme temperatures and allow you to choose to ship (without live arrival guarantee), wait for temps to improve, or cancel your order.

Reporting and Refunds

If you have an issue with an order, you must send details and photographs of the issue to orders@ovipost.com within 72 hours so we can evaluate the claim. Live insects are highly perishable and have a short shelf life, so we appreciate your expedience in alerting us to issues so we can resolve them in a timely manner. Refunds and replacements will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

How will my order be shipped?

We ship orders via USPS. Orders are shipped from our farms in LaBelle, Florida, and Canton, Mississippi depending on which location is closest to you.

Once we've shipped your order, you'll receive an email confirmation with a tracking link.

The least expensive option is USPS Priority Mail which typically takes 2-3 business days with no deliveries on Sundays, and has no arrival timing guarantee. 

For a live arrival guarantee, you must choose USPS Priority Mail Express at checkout. USPS Priority Mail Express offers guaranteed delivery times and delivers on Sundays and Federal Holidays. 

If you choose to select USPS Priority Mail, you do so at your own risk. We suggest placing your order early in the week to prevent the insects from getting stuck in the Post Office over the weekend.

Will you ship to cold climates?

If the temperature at your address is expected to fall below 40°F, we will ship your insects in a winter box. A winter box is sealed (no side vents) and may also contain a heat pack, depending on the species of insect being shipped and the estimated temperature of its final destination. 

Overnight shipping via Priority Mail Express or FedEx Priority Overnight is critical for orders shipping in extreme cold or extreme heat. In tough weather, we strongly recommend writing HOLD AT POST OFFICE in your address to prevent boxes from sitting on a cold porch or in a hot mailbox.

We can only offer a live arrival guarantee if you select Priority Mail Express or FedEx Priority Overnight as your shipping option.

What is your current pricing?

Our goal is to have transparent, affordable prices that reflect our costs here on the farm.

Small quantity pricing: A box of 500 superworms or crickets costs $2 less than a standard 1000 count box. A box of 250 costs $4 less. We are now offering 50 and 100 count boxes as well for prices as low as $8 for large superworms and $6 for adult crickets. 

Volume discount: We offer 5% off when you spend $50 or more, 10% off for orders of $100 or more, 15% off for $250 or more, and 20% off for orders of $500 or more.

How do I set up a recurring order?

Many of our regular customers have weekly or bi-weekly recurring orders. We can automatically charge your credit card every time the order is shipped, which saves you time and hassle.

You can now subscribe to orders directly on the product page for each item. Once subscribed you can reschedule, change, skip, or cancel your orders without having to contact us directly.

What if there's an issue with my order?

Please take two pictures and send them to orders@ovipost.com within 72 hrs.

1. The first picture should show the outside of the box with the white SKU sticker or the size marked in black sharpie. If the box was physically damaged, the photo should clearly show the external damage.

2. The second picture should show the crickets inside the box or container. If there's an issue with size, please drop a dime into the box along with the crickets, so we can use it as a size reference.

It's our goal to send you the highest-quality feeder insects, but these are living creatures and sometimes things go wrong.
