When will my order be shipped?

We ship every weekday, excluding federal holidays. Orders placed before 2pm Eastern will be shipped on the same day. Orders placed after 2pm Eastern will be shipped on the next business day.

How will my order be shipped?

We ship orders via USPS from our farm in LaBelle, Florida. Once we've shipped your order, you'll receive an email confirmation with a tracking link.

The least expensive option is USPS Priority Mail which typically takes 2-3 days with no arrival timing guarantee. 

For a live arrival guarantee, you must choose USPS Priority Mail Express at checkout. USPS Priority Mail Express offers guaranteed delivery times and deliveries on Sundays and Federal Holidays. 

Will you ship to cold climates?

If the temperature at your address is less than 50°F, we will ship your insects in a winter box.

A winter box is sealed (no side vents) and may also contain a heat pack, depending on the species of insect being shipped and the estimated temperature of its final destination. Insects can die if they become too hot and lack ventilation, so this box should only be used in cold temperatures. 

Overnight shipping via Priority Mail Express is critical for orders going to cold winter climates. In extreme weather, we strongly recommend writing HOLD AT POST OFFICE in your address to prevent boxes from sitting on a cold porch or mailbox.

We can only offer a live arrival guarantee if you select Priority Mail Express as your shipping option.

What is your current pricing?

Our goal is to have transparent, affordable prices that reflect our costs here on the farm. You can read about the thinking behind our current price structure here.

Here's our price list as of January 2019:

* Small quantity pricing: A box of 500 superworms or crickets costs $2 less than a standard 1000 count box. A box of 250 costs $4 less.

Online discount: Because online orders help us reduce administrative costs, we offer a 5% discount when you place your order on our website.

Volume discount: We offer 5% off when you spend $25 or more, and 10% off for orders of $75 or more.

For example, if you spend $75+ and place your order on our web store, you'll receive a 5% online discount plus a 10% volume discount, for a total of 15% off your order.

We also offer bulk wholesale pricing and nonprofit discounts to qualifying customers. Contact us to learn more.

How do I set up a recurring order?

We have a lot of regular customers with weekly or bi-weekly recurring orders. We can automatically charge your credit card every time the order is shipped, which saves you time and hassle.

How do you size crickets?

We collect samples of our crickets every day, measuring the top of the head to the end of the abdomen. We use computer vision to check that our samples fall within allowable limits before shipping. Click here to learn more about our sizing process.

What if there's an issue with my order?

Please take two pictures and send them to orders@ovipost.com within 24 hrs.

1. The first picture should show the outside of the box with the white SKU sticker or the size marked in black sharpie. If the box was physically damaged, the photo should clearly show the external damage.

2. The second picture should show the crickets inside the box or container. If there's an issue with size, please drop a dime into the box along with the crickets, so we can use it as a size reference.

It's our goal to send you the highest-quality feeder insects, but these are living creatures and sometimes things go wrong.
